Sunriver Owners Boat Launch Shuttle Being Considered

Sunrivers Owners Boat Launch Update

As of the latest Sunriver Scene it was mentioned that the SROA was going to be running a shuttle for the owners using the new Boat Launch facility. I found this interesting as I mentioned in an earlier article / blog post, “let the negotiations begin” referring to the Sunriver Lodge and the SROA as to if the lodge shuttle would transport owners and their kayaks etc. back to the marina from the canoe take out for a nominal fee. It is my understanding that fee went from previous years $10.00 per kayak or canoe up to $20.00 this year for people who do not rent their craft from the Sunriver Resort Marina. Sunriver MarinaThe SROA is now investigating an owner’s shuttle service that would pick up owners and boats from designated pick up points on the river. It is my understanding they plan on posting a schedule at the owner’s boat launch and other pick up points as to when the shuttle will pick up and drop off at the designated pick up and drop off sites. If this gets implemented this summer, I am told there will be no charge at this time as they investigate the usefulness and costs involved throughout the summer. If this service develops this summer and continues in coming years, it will be a major service to the owners and their guests for Paddle Boards Shute The Deschutestheir boating activities. I applaud the SROA management for continuing to look for ways to enhance the Sunriver lifestyle for the owner’s and their guests. As of this writing I confirmed with the SROA that they had held meetings recently concerning this issue and hope to have some announcements soon. read more
