Zombies in Central Oregon but don’t worry, its not the end of the world…
The Q2 2016 U.S. Residential Property Vacancy and Zombie Foreclosure Report calculates the percentage of homes currently going through the foreclosure process that have been vacated. For the past 12 months, asset holders have been taking advantage of the “sellers market,” according to RealtyTrac Vice President David Blomquist. Now, after 12 months of rising zombie foreclosure rates, February 2016 marked a “sharp drop” in the statistic. As zombie foreclosure rates decline across the country, Oregon actually ranks first as the state with the highest amount of zombie foreclosures with 11.8%.
