A real estate strategy firm (The Concord Group) is speculating that the overall housing market will return to a “normal state” in late 2012. Is it true? A great question in my opinion, especially when considering how many opinions exist on the subject. One thing that stuck out in the article was the statement “until the market returns to normalized absorption rates by the fourth quarter of 2012.” To me the statement means that home values will not return along with the “normalcy” of the absorption rate. Obviously most homeowners will look to their home values as a signal of the recovery, rather than absorption rate when it come to assessing the overall strength of the housing market. When it comes to Central Oregon Real Estate, Deschutes County Real Estate, and Sunriver Area Real Estate the “experts (multiple sources)” are predicting the housing market to come back stronger and sooner than most of the nation.
